Meredith Marus Smith of Mount Pleasant, S.C., married Dr. Andrew Clarke Flandry of Spartanburg, S.C., on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at RiverOaks in Awendaw.

The Reverend John Hage officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newman Jackson Smith of Mount Pleasant, S.C.

The groom is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Flandry, Jr., of Spartanburg, S.C.

The bride was given away by her father, Newman Jackson Smith.

She wore a cream Thai silk strapless wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline, covered buttons and a chapel train by Modern Trousseau.

Maid of Honor was Julia Callahan Smith, sister of the bride.

Matron of Honor was Ashley Zais Harper.

Bridesmaids were Lauren Flandry Jones, sister of the groom; Robyn Flandry Lowndes, sister of the groom; Claire Coleman Marsh and Lindsay Taylor McElveen.

They wore long black chiffon dresses.

Guest attendants included Dr. Mary Caroline Jarrell and Dr. Caroline Norment Thomas.

Katherine Landon Fitch and Elizabeth Snyder Fortune were readers.

The flower girl was Clarke Elizabeth Jones, niece of the groom. Ring bearer was Clayton Edward Jones, nephew of the groom.

Best Man was Dr. Robert Edward Flandry, Junior, father of the groom.

Groomsmen were Dr. Andrew Rutledge Alkis, Mr. Robert Edward Flandry, III, Fred Ingram Jones, Jr., Cameron James Miller and David Arrington Walter.

Ushers were Duncan Eaves Berry, Stuart Gordon Davis, John Kenneth Erwin, Scott Huntington Hartley, Matthew Clair Kern, Neil Michael Kern and Alexander Page Lewis.

After a honeymoon at Kiawah Island, the couple will reside in Chapel Hill, N.C.
