Get ready for summer – Shaggin’ on the Cooper and the Moonlight Mixers are back. Charleston County Parks’ dance event series kicks off with “Shaggin’ on the Cooper,” featuring live music April 27 at the Mount Pleasant Pier. The Moonlight Mixers at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier return May 31.
New this year is the “All Access Dance Card” – your season pass to all of the Shaggin’ on the Cooper events and Moonlight Mixers in 2013. Save up to $36 and dance all summer long - for one low price! The season pass for both events is $84 ($60 for Charleston County residents), or $48 for just Moonlight Mixers or Shaggin’ on the Cooper ($36 for Charleston County residents).
Celebrate the arrival of warmer weather with some dancing at the Mount Pleasant Pier at Shaggin’ on the Cooper. Local bands perform throughout the season (see schedule below). At the Folly Beach Fishing Pier’s Moonlight Mixers, DJ Jim Bowers will keep your feet moving with the hottest oldies and beach music. Gates open at 7 p.m. for all events, and tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents). Tickets are limited, so advance purchase is recommended.
All ages are invited to bring a date or meet friends, let loose, breathe in the ocean air and dance the night away. Beverages will be available for purchase on-site. During the events, food will be for sale at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s River Watch Cafe, and at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier’s Locklear’s Beach City Grill. Food, beverages and parking fees are not included in ticket price. For details or to purchase tickets, call 843-795-4386 or visit www.ccprc.com/shaggin.
