Each week, the Moultrie News and Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will feature one local lacrosse athlete participating in the department. Devin Atkins, 10, plays defender for the U11 Rockets.

Question: Who is your favorite lacrosse team?

Answer: North Carolina Tar Heels.

Q: If you could visit any city or country, where would you go?

A: Anchorage, Alaska.

Q: What is the best moment in your athletic career?

A: Being on the travel all-stars team two years in a row.

Q: What is your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurant?

A: East Bay Deli.

Q: If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?

A: Mike Ditka.

Q: What is the best advice you have gotten from a coach?

A: Someone is going to lose, and it’s not going to be us.

Q: What do you look forward to the most about being an adult?

A: Being a pro lacrosse or football player or a veterinarian.

Q: What do you think is the most difficult and most fun position to play in lacrosse?

A: Difficult – defense; fun – midfield.

Q: What is your favorite movie and television show?

A: “The Hunger Games” and “Top Gear.”

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people, who would you choose?

A: Abe Lincoln, George Washington and Thomas Paine.
