Snee Farm Country Club hosts Junior Cotillion
The Junior Cotillion will meet monthly for the 2013-14 season in the newly renovated Snee Farm Country Club.
The cotillion trains young people in manners, protocol, ethics and social dancing. Director Mary Kennerty says, “Our purpose is to help young people gain confidence in themselves through repetition and practice of many social skills.” Coincidentally the Junior Cotillion held its first meeting in Mount Pleasant in 1996 at Snee Farm.
Since 1996 more than 8,000 parents in Charleston County have enrolled their children in the classes. The Junior Cotillion makes a positive impact on the Charleston community socially and economically as the children graduate from the program as ambassadors and beneficiaries of good manners.
For more information and to register online visit the Junior Cotillion’s website at http://nljc.com/chapter/mtpleasantsc. An informational meeting for parents of rising fourth through eighth graders is on Tuesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Snee Farm Country Club.
