Snakes alive

  • Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Liz Sharpe, who writes the Ask Liz column, encountered this snake in her yard last week. She reached out to Sam Tyson of ABCNews4 who checked with a snake expert at Bee City. The expert said the snake was a nonpoisonous hog nose snake who likes to puff up and act as if it is bad, when in reality it is not. It is more likely to roll over and play dead if it feels threatened. Nevertheless, Liz guided him into the woods and out of her yard. PHOTO PROVIDED
