Ibis Fine Art Gallery to feature oil paintings by Versteegen
Award winning artist Ginny Versteegen announces that her oil painting series
“TERRA” will be featured in an exhibition at the Ibis Fine Art Gallery in Charleston.
Versteegen is known locally and internationally for her dynamic and colorful oil
A reception to meet the artist is open to the public and will take place during the
May Art Walk on Friday, May 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. The exhibit “Terra” will continue through May 15.
Versteegen creates her original oil paintings in in her studio and in plein air. You
may often find her painting in the marsh of the Lowcountry or in the city streets of
Charleston. Many of her creations have been done during her travels throughout the
United States or in Europe. The exhibit“TERRA” will invite you to travel with the artist as you view the paintings. Scenes from around the world, as well as, our own inspiring Lowcountry landscapes are on view during this exhibit celebrating the land, “Terra.”
Versteegen stated “I am very pleased and honored to be the featured artist in the Ibis Fine Art Gallery for this show. It is nice to be recognized locally in this art center of the South and also because it is where I live and work.”
The Ibis Fine Art Gallery has recently opened on 11 Broad Street on Gallery Row in
Charleston. They feature paintings as well as jewelry and ceramic art.
Versteegen lives and works in Mount Pleasant. Her artwork is represented in many private and public collections locally and world-wide, including the Permanent
Collection of the City of Charleston as well as the Permanent Collection of the City of North Charleston. Versteegen has painted throughout the United States, Europe
