Katie McKinley, 15, has donated her hair for a second time. The first time was 2005, Pam at Southcoast Hair Studio was collecting hair for Locks of Love. This year, Katie decided to give her hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Pam at Southcoast Hair Studio cut it again this time.
“We are so proud of Katie. She always thinks of others before herself,” said her mother Robin McKinley. “She is a very giving person, a heart as big as Texas. She volunteers at a local horse rescue, LEARN Horse Rescue and is a trombonist in the Wando marching band. While at LEARN horse rescue, Katie met Harper Drolet, who became a friend. Harper died in September of 2011, and Katie decided then to grow her hair again in honor of Harper Drolet.”
