The South Carolina United Mount Pleasant ’01 Independence girls U11 soccer team coached by Christi and TJ Rostin took first place in the 2013 Julian Brown Memorial Cup tournament in Charlotte, N.C. on April 20-21. The girls played in the most competitive U11 Girls Elite flight against some good teams and earned a first place finish in the finals against the SSA ’01 Black Storm from Savannah, Ga., in a 3-2 finish.
