Police were called to a local bar because a patron was too drunk to be served anymore and refused to pay his tab and leave.
The bartender told him he would not getting anymore alcohol from their establishment. The customer became angry and refused to pay his tab. Thinking this would change the mind of the bartender, the customer also started yelling and screaming.
After a little convincing, according to a police report, the man paid and left.
Police caught up with the customer at his apartment to place him on trespass notice from this bar.
He stated he was angry with the bar staff because they had no right not to serve him. The officer explained that the bar staff had a responsibility and a right not to serve alcohol to anyone overly intoxicated. The customer then became irate with the officer and accused him of picking sides.
The officer ignored that and explained to the man that he was being placed on trespass notice from the bar. The customer said he understood but refused to sign the paperwork.
This did not make the paperwork null a void however. The officer went to hand the man a copy of the unsigned paperwork so he could read the fine print and he snatched it form the officer’s hands.
That too was ignored.
The officer left and gave the bar staff their copy. A short time later, though, dispatch called police and said that a man disguising himself as a female with the name Jill was calling 911 on several occasions.
The call was coming from this customer’s phone number.
Police went back to the man’s apartment and he denied making the call. However, police had proof it was him and he was arrested and taken to tail for misuse of 911.
