The South Carolina Budget and Control Board, in collaboration with South Carolina Interactive, unveiled a new design for the official website of the State of South Carolina, SC.gov, that redefines how government services and information are delivered to individuals and businesses throughout the Palmetto State.
SC.gov provides a number of enhancements through an open layout that offers user-provided imagery to showcase the beauty of South Carolina. The new website utilizes a responsive design to automatically conform to the size of the user’s screen, creating the best experience possible for those using personal computers, tablets or mobile devices. The new prominently placed search feature allows visitors to access services, resources and “best bets” agency information with ease. SC.gov’s innovations also include the use of five homepage “hot spot” links designed to provide related information about background images, encourage user curiosity and to promote government initiatives, seasonal events and online services.
