Taking sides

  • Friday, May 17, 2013

A couple got divorced and the neighbors, of course, had to choose sides. Ultimately the wife won the neighbors in the divorce and continued to hang out with them in their home. But the husband won the house in the divorce and saw her arrive at the neighbor’s house with her new boyfriend.

This did not please him, according to a police report and he sent obscene text messages to the neighbor

He kept complaining about the new boyfriend’s truck blocking his driveway and not being able to leave his driveway. He threatened to trash the truck if it was still there in the morning and it would be done before police could even be called.

The neighbor called police and reported the harassing text messages. They placed the man on trespass notice as well.

He admitted to sending the messages, but said he just wanted to sit and talk about the situation with his neighbor in the morning. He was told he was on trespass notice and could not do that. Then he said they encroached on his property by parking the truck across the street from his driveway, preventing him from leaving.

The report said he was visibly intoxicated.
