Academic whiz kids

Scorekeepers were former Whitesides students Carlie Smith (School of the Arts), Robbie Inglett (Laing MIddle School) and Nicholas Zheng (Moultrie Middle School).


Whitesides Elementary School held the 28th annual Academic Bowl last week. On hand as volunteers for the fifth grade competitors were Mount Pleasant Town Councilman Ken Glasson and the Moultrie News’ very own Sully Witte - a Whitesides alumna.

Fifth grade competitors include Trey Runck, Neil Plumber and Ishika Patel on Team One; Zoey Bennett, Jackson Lauritzen and Noah Ding (the winners) on Team Two; and Christopher Corgill, Spencer Scott and Myai Gethers on Team Three.
