Share Our Suzy (“SOS”) presents the ninth annual Suzy McGrane Memorial Event on Saturday, May 25 at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park at the foot of the Ravenel Bridge. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will feature The Law Band, Tootie and the Jones and The Moonshiners.

The Law Band, from Atlanta, Ga., has been described as a “hard rockin’ country act….with influences of Americana, rockabilly, bluegrass and psychedelic that appeal to both the rural roughneck and urban artist in us all.” Columbia’s Tootie and the Jones are well known from their days as a stalwart of the University of South Carolina party rock scene. Local Americana duo The Moonshiners will open the show.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $50 day of the event and include food, beer/wine and nonalcoholic drinks. A cash bar will be available for cocktails. Tickets can be purchased online at www.shareoursuzy.org or www.etix.com. SOS is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to honor the spirit of Suzy McGrane by raising money and resources to assist and support breast cancer patients from diagnosis to remission. After being first diagnosed in her early 200s and completing her initial treatments, McGrane dedicated herself to helping other breast cancer patients. Since she lost her battle with cancer, SOS has furthered her legacy with annual fundraising events, the proceeds of which directly enhance the quality of life of breast cancer patients in South Carolina.
