Two irate subjects entered the police department lobby in regard to stalking. An officer separated the two men to get their side of the story.
One man said he was in the parking lot of a shopping center at the request of his girlfriend. She was meeting her ex-husband to pick up their children which they do every other week. He said she requested him to be there to make sure everything ran smoothly. He explained that when the father exited the parking lot to leave, the dad noticed the man parked across the street and became irate. He then drove across the street and parked his car in front of the victim and said, “Leave me alone and quit following me.”
The victim said he left right away and drove straight to the police department.
The suspect told police when he saw the man he “feared for his life because the victim carries a badge. He said he also left and went to the police department to report the activity.
Both subjects were counseled and told not to have any further contact with each other. The suspect was told that since his ex-wife requested the victim be at the drop off location, he had a right to be there. He said he understood but was still in fear for his life.
