Nida Caroline Dominick and Christopher Alan Turner were united in marriage at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Jordan Cottage in Garden City, S.C. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend Maurice E. Nason, Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Homer Dominick, Jr. of Orangeburg, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Homer Dominick, Sr. of Orangeburg, S.C., and the late Capt. And Mrs. John Norton Renfro of Greenville, S.C. She attended Clemson University and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. She is employed by Franke at Seaside in Mount Pleasant.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Margaret Elmore Turner of Fort Mill, S.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clement Turner, Jr. of Awendaw. The groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Alan Elmore of Charlotte, N.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clement Turner, Sr. of Isle of Palms. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture. He is employed by Novus Architects of Mount Pleasant.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Megan Hackler Williams, longtime friend of the bride of Charleston, served as Matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Nicole Lynn of Charleston and Erin Ashley Briggs of Charlottesville, Va., both friends of the bride. Hannah Elizabeth Dominick of Irmo, S.C., niece of the bride was the junior bridesmaid. Sarah Abigail Williams of Charleston, daughter of the matron of honor served as flower girl.
Jonathan Rodney Morris of Fort Mill, S.C, lifelong friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Jason Michael Jordan of Charleston and Cody Ryan Chase of Fort Mill, both friends of the groom. William Robert Barnes of Little Mountain, S.C., cousin of the bride served as ring bearer.
A luncheon immediately following the ceremony was held on the back lawn.
Music was provided by Southern Flavor. After a wedding trip to Key West, Fla., the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant.
