Celebrate beach safety week June 2-9

  • Friday, May 31, 2013

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission provides lifeguards at the county beach parks and at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier in an effort to reduce the number of beach accidents. The agency employs around 60 lifeguards to keep the county beach parks safe at Isle of Palms, the Folly Beach Fishing Pier and Kiawah Beachwalker Park.

In conjunction with National Beach Safety Week, various beach safety demonstrations will be held on Saturday, June 8 at Isle of Palms County Park and Kiawah Beachwalker Park.

For more information on Beach Safety Week or the events taking place on June 8, contact Stephen Fernandez at 843-762-2172.
