Introducing SHE: The ultimate girls’ weekend

  • Friday, May 31, 2013

SHE, The Ultimate Girls’ Weekend, presented by BI-LO and sponsored by Trident Health, is set for Sept. 27-29 at the Charleston Area Convention Center. The three-day affair will be brimming with vendors, celebs and local leaders in fashion, beauty, cooking, entertainment, crafts and healthy living.

SHE is a party, a culinary experience, a learning opportunity and a shopping spree all rolled in to one. With fashion shows, demonstrations, giveaways, celebrity appearances and hundreds of mini boutiques, SHE Charleston is the ultimate girls’ weekend for the Lowcountry – a celebration of everything woman.

SHE highlights six aspects of women’s lives:

Style: Fashion, beauty and design to make her dazzle.

Crave: Delectable food and beverage tastings and demonstrations by top local chefs.

Entertain: Invitations, décor, menus and floral arrangements for a fabulous fete.

Create: Arts and crafts to sooth your psyche and enhance your surroundings.

Live: Health, fitness and spiritual peace.

Care: Community and charity.

The SHE INDULGES Opening Night Party caps off the first days’ events. The party, beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, features Lipsologist, Ariana Lightningstorm and her popular lip print readings. Another highlight of the evening is a live performance from Charleston’s own Elise Testone. Throughout the evening, attendees will be treated to complimentary beverages, delectable food tastings, image consultations and fashion advice.

On Saturday, Sept. 28, SHE welcomes special celebrity guest, HGTV star, Vern Yip. Attendees will learn how to “feather their nest” with affordable elegance as Vern shares his expertise on home design and decorating. Vern will appear on the Style Stage at 4 p.m.

SHE History

SHE is produced by JBM & Associates, a Greenville event management and marketing company.

SHE is a natural evolution of the highly successful Upstate Women’s Show, which has attracted and entertained nearly 30,000 women over the past five years, and the popular Spice of Life Food and Fitness Fest. Both events took place in Greenville. JBM & Associates combined favorite features from the Upstate Women’s Show and the Spice of Life Food and Fitness Fest to create the ultimate girls’ weekend, which has been freshly rebranded as SHE. SHE is held in three South Carolina markets: Greenville, Aug. 23 – 25, Charleston, Sept. 27 – 29, 2013 and Columbia, March 28 – 30, 2014.

“Our audiences are made up of smart, creative women with active personal and professional lives, and we want our shows to reflect their interests and personalities,” said Jacqui Bomar, JBM president and creator of the event.
