A police officer was approached in the station parking lot by an individual who was having problems with an old boyfriend who was violating an order of protection. The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend kept trying to contact her through phone calls and text messages, and the order of protection states he must have no contact and make no threats.

However he called or texted her more than 70 times. According to the police report, the ex-boyfriend called the girl 13 times while she was talking to the officer.

The victim explained to the officer that the ex-boyfriend has changed his phone number 10 or 11 times in the hope she would not recognize the number and therefore answer the call.

She said he told her he was going to hurt himself and he tried injecting himself with bleach. She also told the officer that he said he was going to rob his mother’s house and a friend of his who owed him money. She gave the officer the ex-boyfriend’s address and said that he did not have a valid driver’s license or a vehicle to drive.

Police ran the man’s information and found that he had a warrant out for his arrest for Harassment 2nd Degree. They went to his home to arrest him on that warrant as well as the charge of violating an order of protection.
