Daniel Island Club ladies tennis wins state championship

The Daniel Island Club’s 2.5 ladies tennis team won the USTA South Carolina 2.5 State Team Championships in Aiken by winning four matches over the course of the weekend. Earlier in May, the team won the Lowcountry daytime league regular season title and the overall title in order to advance to the state tournament. The Aiken victory advances the ladies to the USTA/Southern Team Championships in Auburn, Ala. on July 26. This is the second group of players from the Daniel Island Club to win the USTA 2.5 team title in the last three years.
