Police sent in an underage (and undercover) informant to attempt to buy alcohol at various gas stations around town. At most places they stopped, the clerks sold the Bud Light Strawberry Rita to the underage kid. When confronted by police, most clerks said they did not recall selling alcohol to a minor.
In one instance, a clerk rung the order up, did not ask for any identification and said to the underage informant, “I shouldn’t be selling this to you and I hope I don’t get in trouble.”
She, too, told police when confronted that she could not remember selling alcohol to a minor but that she was sorry.
