Creeper

A local news anchor was contacted by a man on Facebook stating that he had a story idea for her.

When she asked for the details he began saying things that made her feel uncomfortable, a police report said. One message to her read, “How can I benefit from being your friend? Not interested in being a Facebook friend, and you are cute. But I am not interested in a relationship or a liaison. And I know where you lived.”

After getting this message he then called the station and said he had been wrongfully convicted of rape, spent several years in the brigg and said he was listed on the sex offender list as a pedophile and that was not accurate.

The news anchor then contacted the solicitor’s office and was advised that the information was accurate and that she should not have any further contact with this man.

The police report was made because this man has a history of violence and the man insisted on seeing the news anchor in person. She wanted officers to let the man know not to contact her again.

Police spoke to the man and explained that he is to leave her alone. He said he understood and that making her uncomfortable was not his intention.
