The 21st annual Isle of Palms Beach Run/Walk, a race that continues to grow in popularity, was held this past Saturday morning on Front Beach behind the Windjammer. There were 5K and 10K races. Although same participated purely for the camaraderie and exercise, others took it more seriously. Kyle McGue, 15, had the best overall time in the 5K event at 19:53. Brian Berrigan, a 43-year-old Isle of Palms local, earned fifth place at a minute behind McGue. In the 10K race, North Charleston’s Ryan Thompson, 31 years old, edged Mount Pleasant’s David Quick, 45.
