A call about a man peeping into cars in a local parking lot turned into a call about a man who lost a baby goat three weeks ago.

At first police responded to the parking lot about the man looking into cars. When they stopped to talk to the subject, they got a whole other story.

The man was having difficulty walking a straight line and stumbled a few times. An officer asked him where he was headed and he said he was going home.

He said he rode with a friend to a nearby restaurant but his friends left him there and he was walking home to Rivertowne from Towne Centre. He said he tried to call someone to take him home but couldn’t reach anyone.

The officer gave him a safe ride home, and on the way, heard the story about the goat.

The subject told the officer that three weeks earlier he had to walk home from another restaurant because his friends were getting out of hand. He said he had to walk home with a baby goat he had gotten. When he woke up the next morning the baby goat was gone. He said he noticed his friends had parked a golf cart in his garage and left the door open. As it happens, another officer found a baby goat three weeks prior on Highway 41 and took it to the emergency vet. The man was told to call them to see if they still had it.
