“Putt-Putt for Peyton” will be held on Sunday, Aug. 4 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Classic Golf Putt-Putt on 1528 Ben Sawyer Blvd. in Mount Pleasant. It will be a donation event in honor and memory of Peyton Moore.
“Putt-Putt for Peyton” will be an evening to celebrate the life of Peyton, an amazing boy, who accomplished so much in nine years.
Peyton was a member of the Mount Pleasant Track Club. He qualified for nationals in the javelin throw, helped his dad coach the “Couch to 5K” running group on Sunday mornings, was a straight A student and loved life.
Come play a round of putt-putt. There will also be corn hole and other games, including hole-in-one prizes and raffles.
Music will be provided by Dave Landeo, and there will also be food and drink specials from Buddy Rose Shrimp Shack.
Peyton’s parents, Noah and Jen said that among the many things that Peyton loved, one of them was putt-putt and he always wanted to learn to play golf.
“One of P’s favorite things to do was putt-putt,” they said in a statement. “He would get me to stop at crazy places while we were on vacation or driving to a run just to play a round.”
This event is given by friends, neighbors and Richard Anderson who is kindly providing Classic Golf Putt Putt for the event. Putters are limited – there are approximately 50 – so if you would like, bring your favorite putter and lawn chair to enjoy the evening.
