Each week, the Moultrie News and Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will feature local track and field athletes participating in the department.

Savanna Adams, 10, participates in the 400-meter, 800-meter and mini javelin events with the Mount Pleasant Track Club. Marshall Coppage, pictured next to Savanna, did not return his questionnaire.

Question: If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?

Savanna Adams: Taylor Swift.

Q: What is your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurant?

SA: Locklear’s Lowcountry Grill.

Q: What is the best moment in your athletic career?

SA: When I got athlete of the week for the first week.

Q: What is the best advice you have gotten from a coach?

SA: “Don’t speed out; follow the pack.”

Q: What do you look forward to the most about being an adult?

SA: Having a family.

Q: What do you think are the most difficult and most fun aspects of track?

SA: Most difficult: practice. Most fun: meet.

Q: What is your favorite movie and TV show?

SA: Movie: “101 Dalmatians” and TV show: “Modern Family.”

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people who would you choose?

SA: Taylor Swift, Steve Jobs and Ben Mackay.
