Magnolia Gardens names new maintenance chief

  • Friday, July 26, 2013

Rick Ogletree has been named facilities manager at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.

He is responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds and supervising a staff of 20 employees at the 500-acre tourist destination.

Tom Johnson, Magnolia’s executive director, said, “He will play a key role as we move to the next level of Magnolia’s restoration.”

This isn’t the first time Johnson and Ogletree have worked together. When Johnson was horticulturalist for the American Camellia Society, Ogletree helped at the Massee Lane Gardens in Fort Valley, Ga.
