On a quest to constantly grow their menu and offerings, the culinary team behind the award-winning Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ will be heading on a whirlwind trip to Austin, Texas for a little R&D. Heading up the team is owner and pitmaster Aaron Siegel who is taking five of his other key team members — executive chef Taylor Garrigan, music and entertainment director Tony McKie, manager Sean Daniher, chefs Madison Ruckel and James Lasher. The plan is to spend the four days eating and drinking their way around all of the best places you can find in Austin — and there are many. Some of the stops on the tour include: Franklin BBQ, The Salt Lick, Louis Mueller BBQ, Kreuz Market, Black’s BBQ, La Barbecue, Smitty’s and City Market BBQ to name a few.
“Home Team BBQ is always focused on expanding the menu, the techniques and the offerings,” stated Aaron Siegel. “That is why trips like this are so important to us. We need to get out and see what other places are doing so we can to get inspired and creative.”
The Austin trip will be documented and daily updates posted to https://www.facebook.com/hometeambbq.
