Rockville - another epic year

The Rockville Regatta was held for the 123rd consecutive year on Bohicket Creek.

Always held the first weekend in August, this event has not only been billed as the last sail boat race of the Lowcountry season, but as the largest cocktail party on water.

The Sea Island One Design is the featured class of this historic annual regatta. The Moth, Y-Flyer, Sunfish and E-Scow classes also competed.

The Sea Island yacht Club is host to the annual event.

Moth Class: 1. Frickie Martschink 15; 2. Rutledge Young 24; 3. John Siegling 25.

Sunfish Class: 1. Woody Norwood 13; 2. Randall Stoney 8; 3. Charlie Frasch 4.

E-Scow Class: 1. Walter Prauser 8; 2. Jim Holder 27; 3. Peter Hamm 44.
