Colleen Margaret Kolb and Eric Wilson Bendig, both of Mount Pleasant, S.C., were married on the evening of Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Father Vincent Maroun officiated the nuptial mass. The reception was held at the Daniel Island Club.
The bride is the daughter of Eileen and John Kolb of Mount Pleasant, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Kelly Murray of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and the late Robert J. Murray of New Brunswick, N.J. and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kolb Sr. of Hanahan, S.C. Colleen is a graduate of Bishop England High School and Columbia College.
She earned a bachelor of arts degree in Early Childhood Education and teaches at Mitchell Elementary School.
The bridegroom is the son of David Bendig of Smyrna, Ga. and Diane Lamm of Mount Pleasant, S.C. He is the grandson of June and Wayne Wilson of Mills River, N.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bendig of Greenville, Penn.
He is a graduate of Wando High School and Presbyterian College. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration as well as a degree in Education. Bendig teaches at Wando High School, where he is also an assistant varsity football coach.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.
Jennifer Troutman Cole was maid of honor. Bride?s attendants were Kira Whitney Chucta, Elizabeth Koster Gissell, Holli Brickle Golosky, Amanda Mills Holloway, Monica Ashley Lopez, Meghan Maureen Rooney, Linda Karls Schneider, Chelsea Ashton Sherman and Ashley Brooke Sprayberry. Flower girls were Lilly Kate Bendig, Gracie Katherine Kolb, and Meghan Elena Lenis.
Best men were David James Bendig, the father of the groom, and Robert Earl Hayes. Groomsmen were Mitchell Wayne Anthony, Michael Kemper Booth, Donald Ross Ellis, Darrell Robert Hedrick, Leroy Marvin Maxwell III, and Joseph Martin. Ring bearers were Jacob John Kolb, and Kingston Crawford Kolb. Max Bendig was an alter server.
A rehearsal dinner was given by the groom?s mother, Diane Lamm, at 17 North Roadside Kitchen on Thursday evening, June 20. The couple will make their home in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
