King and Lamprell celebrate wedding

Ashley Catherine King and Robert Dominic Lamprell were married on May 23 in Northbrook Park, at an 18th century manor home, in Surrey, England. Claire Whale and Jane Pilcher, registrars from the Winchester Registry Office, performed the 2:15 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by the Quarttro String Quartet. A reception followed in the Walled Garden and the Orangery.

The bride is the daugher of Bob and Linda King of Mount Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bertel R. Johnson of Columbia, S.C. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. King Sr. of Lancaster, S.C. Ashley earned a B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University and a M.A. in Understanding and Securing Human Rights from the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London.

She is the local advocacy development adviser for Christian Aid, an international organization that works to end the causes of global poverty.

The bride wore a custom designed Pronovias gown, appointed with lace from the heirloom wedding gown of her mother and grandmother.

The bridegroom is the son of Dorothy and Peter Lamprell of Hertfordshire, England. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Edwards and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lamprell. Rob earned a B.A. in Law and Politics from Queen Mary College, University of London. Currently, he is the director of sales for Campbell-Lange Workshop.

Kristin Sznajder, the bride’s sister, was matron of honor. Jayde Bradley was the maid of honor and Katherine Parr and Joanna Rowelle were bridesmaids. Flowergirls were Hannah Watts, Lucy Watts and Penelope Rowelle. The Best Men were Farhod Moghadam and Benjamin Watts, friends of the groom. Leon Sznajder and Charles Rowelle, nephews of the bride and groom were the ringbearer and page boy.

After a honeymoon trip to Bali, the couple now resides in Broxbourne, England.
