Leadership Conference: Leading your team in today’s economy

Focus on leadership with this timely conference offered by Trident Technical College’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development.

”Leading your Team in Today’s Economy” will be held Friday, Aug. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at TTC’s Mount Pleasant Campus located at 1125 John Dilligard Lane. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.

Topics include:

Impact of Leadership and Management in Technical Organizations

The speaker Alfredo M. Lopez retired as vice president of research and development from ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company after a distinguished professional and managerial career that included assignments in the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Leading through Conflict

The speaker Marion Martin is chief operating officer for the Center for Quality, Innovation and Patient Safety at Roper St. Francis Healthcare. She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and is responsible for performance improvement activities and projects with nursing and other ancillary departments, as well as system-wide Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training.

Leadership Communication to Inspire, Motivate and Retain

The Speaker Steve Price is a business training manager and instructor for TTC’s Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development. Before joining TTC, he had a 30-year career as an executive with a Fortune 500 company.
