  • Friday, August 16, 2013

Charleston Cooks!, Charleston’s premier destination for cookware, cooking classes and culinary expertise, has announced a new series of demonstration classes to offered during the month of August and September. The one-hour Beyond the Basics classes will be held on Sunday afternoons at noon beginning Aug. 18. All classes will take place at Charleston Cooks! located at 194 East Bay Street, downtown Charleston, and the cost is $10 per person per class.

The goal of the Beyond the Basics series is to teach class participants how skillful use of favorite tools of the kitchen can help make meal preparation easier, faster and more delicious. Demonstrations will incorporate tasty recipes while explaining various techniques in-depth. Beyond the Basics is intended for both beginners and more experienced cooks. Class participants will enjoy a tasting of all food that is prepared in class as well as receive a 10% discount in the store that day.

On Aug. 18, the first class in the series will feature the impressive versatility of a Vitamix blender. Vitamix is trusted by more professional chefs than any other blender to create fresh, flavorful dishes. Later classes will present Breville’s Fast Slow Cooker, the Bamix Immersion Blender and the Humalayan Salt Plate.

Space is limited in these classes. For a complete list of class offerings and to sign up, call 843-722-1212 or visit www.CharlestonCooks.com.
