CCP presents portrait workshop

The setting is a valuable tool in taking a good portrait photograph.

Photographers always need excellent instruction. Pro photographer Michael Lamb provides just that. Representing the Professional Photographers of South Carolina (PPofSC), Lamb is taking students on a “walk and shoot” senior portrait session at the Charleston Center for Photography on Saturday, Aug. 25.

It is called simple, effective, environmental portraiture, and all students – amateur and professional - will learn technique to improve their senior portrait photography.

The idea is to take advantage of golden hours of light that doesn’t always fit the clients’ schedules.

Lamb will teach ways to overcome harsh mid-day light, while on location. He will also demonstrate the use of speed lights and reflectors under difficult conditions.

After the shooting session, Lamb will walk students through valuable techniques of workflow and post- processing, using Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop.

The workshop is open to all-comers, members and non-members of PPofSC. Members pay $39 and non-members pay $69. Registration is online at www.ppofsc.com/super_sunday_reg.html

or call 803-772-4302.
