East Cooper Medical Center will host a Pre-Labor Day Maternity Event on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Whether you are trying to get pregnant, getting ready to deliver your first child or are an experienced mom expecting your fourth child, this event has something to offer. The event is free, kid-friendly and will take place at the hospital.
Come and meet some of the hospital’s labor and delivery nurses, nursery nurses and the lactation consultants as well as the OB/GYN providers who deliver at East Cooper Medical Center. Find out what to expect during your hospital stay before your big day arrives. Tour the maternity suites and learn more about the hospital’s Level II special care nursery. East Cooper has the only Level II nursery in Mount Pleasant.
While gathering helpful information, you can also shop local vendors that are tailored to moms-to-be and new moms. Babies R Us will be offering on-site baby registrations. They will help with selecting the top baby items you’ll need once your bundle of joy arrives as well as conducting car seat installation checks. Other local vendors include From Here to Maternity, Lowcountry Diaper Service and The Mom Spa.
Door prizes will be given away throughout the event. Refreshments and kids’ activities will also be provided. Wine and Design of Mount Pleasant will be hosting a free “Art Buzz Kids” project that your kids won’t want to miss.
To register, please call 843-884-7031 or visit www.eastcoopermedctr.com and click “Find an Event.” The Pre-Labor Day Maternity event will take place in the main lobby of East Cooper Medical Center located at 2000 Hospital Drive.
