Police were called to the parking lot of a bar where a fight was in progress. Police arrived to find a group of people standing around in the parking lot hollering and one male jumping up and down, pacing back and forth.
One officer removed his taser from its holster and gave clear commands for the subject to get on the ground.
He complied, but a female in the group became loud and unruly. She was told numerous times to stand back and quiet down, but she would not listen and was placed in handcuffs.
The victim spoke to police and explained that it was her husband’s birthday and he had too much to drink. As they were leaving the bar they got into an argument, the report said.
She said she had a designated driver waiting outside for her. When she went to get in the car, her husband would not let her and pushed her to the ground causing her to get scratched up on her arms and knees.
At that point her son struck her husband in his head in defense of his mother.
Witnesses also provided statements saying they saw the husband push his wife down even though he denied it.
He was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence.
