Trio Solutions, a Mount Pleasant-based marketing communications agency, invites Lowcountry-area nonprofit organizations to apply for the seventh annual CreateAthon, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 14.
CreateAthon is a collaborative, 24-hour creative blitz that changes the impact of nonprofits and the lives of creative thinkers. Trio Solutions, the official CreateAthon agency for the Charleston-metro area, will provide marketing services to Lowcountry nonprofit organizations on a pro-bono basis from 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday. The selected nonprofits should have little or no marketing budgets.
The deadline for CreateAthon 2013 applications is Friday, Sep. 13. Trio Solutions will select five local organizations and will announce the winners by Sept. 27. Please visit trio-solutions.com/createathon or facebook.com/triosolutions to apply online or download an application.
“CreateAthon gives our team a chance to give back to our community and help organizations share their stories,” says Caitlin Ramsey, Trio’s CreateAthon coordinator. “Many nonprofits struggle for essential business-related funding and money for marketing is often mistakenly the first to be overlooked. We’re honored to offer our time and creative talents to help organizations that make such a positive impact on our community.”
CreateAthon was originally created by RIGGS advertising agency out of Columbia in 1997. Since the program’s expansion from a single market to an international effort in 2002, 85 agencies have joined the creative network, holding CreateAthon events in their cities. This effort has benefited more than 1,275 nonprofit organizations with approximately 3,200 projects valued at $16.1 million.
