‘Saving lives never looked so good’ at Red Cross

  • Friday, September 20, 2013

The American Red Cross is encouraging donors to look and feel their best by giving the gift of life during the “Saving Lives Never Looked So Good” promotion.

Present to donate blood or platelets now through Nov. 30 and be entered to win one of three $1,000 gift cards to use on a gym membership, spa treatment, car detailing – whatever makes you look and feel good.

The “Saving Lives Never Looked So Good” promotion gives donors the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives, while giving them a chance to pamper themselves, too.

Also during the month of September, all presenting blood and platelet donors at participating Red Cross blood drives and blood donation centers will receive a coupon from SportClips Haircuts for a free haircut as a thank you for their lifesaving blood donations.

The Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region provides lifesaving blood to patients in more than 50 hospitals.

Approximately 500 people need to give blood or platelets each week day to meet hospital demands.
