On Sunday, Nov. 3, Chef Jeremiah Bacon and Steve Palmer, managing partner of The Indigo Road Restaurant Group will team up with fellow chefs and Le Creuset to host an exceptional culinary event with a cause: ending childhood hunger in America. The Charleston No Kid Hungry Dinner will benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, which is ending childhood hunger across America by connecting kids with the healthy food they need, every day. With strong support from the country’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants, Share Our Strength’s culinary events provide discerning diners with unparalleled cuisine and fine beverages, while raising funds to support Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger. The four-course dinner begins at 6 p.m. with a VIP reception beginning at 5 p.m.

“The Indigo Road is proud to work with Share Our Strength” said Palmer. “We are honored to be a part of a tangible effort - addressing the widespread issue of childhood hunger in the U.S. Hunger is a solvable issue and we are eager to contribute to the solution.”

“Ending poverty is complex but feeding a child is not,” said Bill Shore, founder and CEO of Share Our Strength. Through funds raised at events like the Charleston No Kid Hungry dinner, we are able to create more resources to ensure children in South Carolina and across America get the healthy food they need where they live, learn and play.”

Guests of the Charleston No Kid Hungry dinner will also have the opportunity to participate in auctions that include one-of-a-kind culinary, travel and lifestyle items. Since 2005, No Kid Hungry dinners have raised more than $7 million to support the No Kid Hungry campaign, ensuring that kids across the U.S. have access to the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, active lives.

“As chefs, we all possess the gift of providing food,” said Bacon. “The Charleston No Kid Hungry Dinner is not only an opportunity for our industry to come together by sharing our talents, but more importantly to give back by addressing this serious issue.”
