Joshua Edward Meade

Joshua Edward Meade, 32, formerly of Asheville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at his home in Mount Pleasant.

Josh was born in Asheville and was a graduate of Asheville High School and UNC-Asheville. He worked as a fitness director doing personal training.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Roger J. Meade and Susan Frank Meade; his grandmother, Ruth Loverude Meade; four great-uncles, James K. Loverude, Fred Martin, Harry Holden and Sidney Frank; three great-aunts, Barbara Wood, Carol Martin and Mary Holden; three uncles, Steve Haynes, Sam Warlick and Steve Frank; three aunts, Rindi Haynes, Susan Frank and Marilyn Warlick and five cousins, Ashley Haynes, Katie Haynes, Scott Haynes, Lauren Woolbright and Brent Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church with the Reverends Mark Ramsey and Kristy Farber officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Josh’s name to the Asheville High School Music Department, 419 McDowell Street, Asheville, NC 28803.
