The Charleston Concert Association (CCA), in its 77th season of presenting worldclass
artists to the Charleston area, announces its 2013-2014 series of performances. This marks the CCA’s second full season at the beautiful College of Charleston Sottile Theatre in midst of the Gaillard Auditorium’s ongoing renovation.
The transition from the 2,734 seat Gaillard to the 785 seat Sottile is daunting, but the Concert Association is making the most of the loss of more than 2,000 seats by presenting a spectacular line-up for the upcoming season. In an Opening Night
journey to China, the Shanghai Ballet performs the moving love story “The Butterfly Lovers.” While that performance will be hard to match, the rest of the season, the exciting vocal excellence of one of today’s most popular baritones, a romantic
evening with a legendary pianist and a robust program from a baroque orchestra from Italy, will not disappoint.
All performances start at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Sottile Theatre. Season tickets range from $190 – $390 and can be purchased now by calling 843-727-1216. Individual tickets are $55, $75, $95 and go on sale Oct. 1. For those who don’t mind waiting on limited availability seating, tickets will be available at special discount pricing two weeks prior to each concert. Purchase individual tickets through TicketMaster (800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com) or at the CCA office at 131 King Street, Charleston 29401, Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit
