Radio stations light the town pink
In September and October, WEZL, WXLY, WSCC, and WRFQ are supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation in an effort to raise money for local breast cancer research and treatment.
Light the Town Pink encourages listeners to purchase pink light bulbs, available at select Walgreens locations, and put them in their homes and businesses, lighting the town pink. Bulbs are three dollars, and all proceeds go to the Lowcountry Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
By lighting the Lowcountry pink, the cluster of stations will unite the community, celebrate survivorship, honor those who have lost their battle and most importantly, raise funds and awareness for the fight against the disease.
Light the Town Pink, made possible with the support from Stokes Automotive Group and Hagemeyer, kicked off Monday, Sept. 16. Bulbs are in stores and available for purchase. WEZL, WXLY, WSCC and WRFQ invites members of the community to get involved with this special initiative and take part in something that can help save lives.
With the power of their four stations, Clear Channel Charleston expects to receive incredible participation and support, and encourages all to help Light the Town Pink.
