A married man called police to report that an unknown woman named Tammy got a hold of his phone number and had been calling him.
He said the first time she called she told him she got his phone number when he was up on Rivers Avenue. She said she just wanted someone to talk to. He hung the phone up on her because he could not understand her.
She called a second time, and this time he said she sounded sober. She told him she lived in Summerville and that her name was Tammy. She described herself to him (in detail). It turns out she also knew this victim’s first and last name.
He gave the officer the woman’s phone number and said he never goes to Rivers Avenue. He added that he is married and does not know why the suspect is calling him. He told the officer that he did not want the woman to call again. He also said he did not want a police officer coming to his home unless it happens again. He said he just wanted to file a report over the phone so that it can be recorded that he called.
