Boy Scout Troop 11 of Mount Pleasant spent Saturday Sept. 21 removing the old deck used by mobility-impaired hunters during the U.S. Forest Service’s annual hunt at Tibwin Plantation near McClellanville. The Forest Service works with SCDNR to provide hunting opportunities for wheelchair-bound and other mobility-impaired hunters. Boy Scout Peter Creed organized an Eagle Project to rebuild the deck, which had begun to rot in several sections and had become unsafe. The new deck boards will be installed in the next several weeks.
