‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ to help My Sister’s House

Verizon Wireless Presents 2013 Tri-County “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes,” hosted by My Sister’s House, on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to noon at Park Circle Community Center.

Tickets are $25 for individuals and $20 each for a group of five or more. The event is being held in conjunction with a Domestic Violence Awareness Event in honor of October’s National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, themed “Take a Look at her Journey.”

All funds from the event will benefit My Sister’s House. and directly help victims of domestic violence and their children.

The group asks participants to join them after the walk for “Take a Look at Her Journey,” a domestic violence awareness and education event. It’s a free, fun-filled hour of food, a guest speaker, educational displays, children’s activities, prizes and much more.
