Caring Hearts of Snee Farm gathered more than 500 items that the group donated to Newborns in Need through various hospitals and agencies. PHOTO PROVIDED

Dozens of friends gathered for a “baby shower” hosted by the Caring Hearts of Snee Farm. The shower was the sixth annual event of its kind to collect onesies, sleepers, diapers and other essentials for Newborns in Need. NIN will send these necessities to agencies and hospitals serving premature, ill or impoverished newborns.

More than 500 new items were collected including sleepers, socks, onesies, bibs, blankets, hats and diapers to help needy babies who might otherwise spend their first few days of life with nothing to keep them warm.

The Caring Hearts of Snee Farm is a group of 15 women dedicated to charitable works of all kinds and to providing a convenient platform for friends and families to join in the celebration of giving. www.CaringHearts@squarespace.com
