Flying high

Matthew Greco, a 17 yr. old senior at Wando High School completed his Pilot training and received his FAA Private Pilot License.

He is an honor student with a 4.0 GPA and a Lieutenant Commander in the Wando AFJROTC.

After one year of flight training he completed the mission last Saturday. Greco trained at Coastal Aviation at Mount Pleasant Regional Airport.

Of the 650,000 pilots in the United States there are only less then 250 seventeen year old pilots.

He is currently applying to the United State Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Greco has also visited Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida and is considering a degree in Aeronautical engineering.

His goal is to become a pilot in the US. Air force.
