Wando cheerleaders take second at 4A sheer competion

The Wando High School Varsity Cheerleaders took second place honors in the 4A division at the Fort Dorchester Patriot Cheerleading Competition at Fort Dorchester High School Oct. 12.

In addition, Wando also won first place in the stunt group competition, with Briana Silva, Kendall Mercer, Emma Stevenson and Brandi Sanichar representing the team.

The same stunt group received first place at the Cane Bay High School Cobra Cheerleading Competition Sept. 28 (with Abbey Stasky), and Ashleigh Conner won first place in the jump-off competition at the Cane Bay event.

The team’s next competition will be at White Knoll High School in Lexington County on Nov. 12 for the Lower State Championship.
