Crescom Bank honors veterans on Veterans Day

  • Sunday, October 27, 2013

This Veterans Day, CresCom Bank honors those who have served by offering complimentary coffee and cake at all branches on Monday, Nov. 11. Branch locations will also air interviews from the locally produced television program “Military Memoirs” so that branch visitors may learn more about area veterans’ contributions to the country. CresCom Bank branch locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 11.

“Military Memoirs” features historical interviews with local United States Armed Forces veterans, and CresCom Bank serves as a sponsor for the program. “Military Memoirs” airs daily on Educational Channel 12 (HTC Cable and Time-Warner Cable) at 10:30 a.m., 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

“This Veterans Day, we’re again reminded of the sacrifice and courage our area veterans have shown through their service,” said CresCom Bank CEO David L. Morrow. “We invite our customers, and especially the veterans in our community, to visit their local branch to celebrate their service and to learn more about their stories through the local program ‘Military Memoirs.’”

“Military Memoirs” is produced by the Center for Military and Veterans Studies at Coastal Carolina University (CCU) and the CCU Department of Media Services. All interviews, as well as additional oral history interviews collected by the Center for Military and Veterans Studies, are preserved at the U.S. Library of Congress through a partnership between the center and the library’s Veterans History Project.
