Police were patrolling a discount store parking lot when they noticed a man walk up to a woman sitting in her car. The man handed the female an item, she handed the male an item and the man put that item in his pocket. This activity appeared suspicious, according to a police report, and appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction.

The man went to his vehicle and left and the woman pulled off.

The officers then followed the woman whose license plate was expired. Also while following the vehicle the driver drifted in and out of her lane and never used her turn signal.

The driver was stopped. She said she had just gotten off work and was headed home. The officer asked her if she stopped anywhere and she said she had not. She was asked to step out of her car and the officer asked her again if she had stopped anywhere.

She said she did stop at the grocery store but nowhere else.

Knowing that she was not being truthful and having observed her in the other parking lot, the officer asked her who she met in the parking lot.

She then said she met someone and said she had to return a shirt and she left it at his apartment. This made no sense because a shirt was never exchanged between the two. She later said that the man owed her $50 from a year ago and he was repaying her but she then returned $20 to him because he was low on money.

Due to her inconsistent statements the officer asked to search her car.

Sure enough, the officer found several illegal pills that she did not have a prescription for. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
