Each week, the Moultrie News and the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will feature local cross country athletes participating in the department.

Q.: If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?
Tyson Smith: Usain Bolt

Q.: What is your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurant?
TS: Ye Ole Fashioned
Q.: What is the best moment in your athletic career?
TS: Winning two for two cross country meets in my age group.
MR: Scoring my first goal in soccer at age 8.
PB: Finishing a race in Cross Country.
Q.: What is the best advice you have gotten from a coach?
TS: Never look back at who’s behind you.
MR: Practice makes perfect.
PB: Sprint the curves.
Q.: What do you look forward to the most about being an adult?
TS: Being able to drive alone.
MR: Being able to start my own family.
PB: Being able to run a marathon.
Q.: What do you think are the most difficult and most fun aspects of cross country?
TS: Difficult – keeping a steady pace; Fun – Going down hills.
MR: Difficult-pacing yourself; Fun-Running with friends.
PB: The most difficult is running after swim practice. The most fun is knowing that you completed a race.
Q.: What is your movie and TV show?
TS: “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” and “Phineas & Ferb.”
MR: Movie - “Home Alone;” TV - “America’s Got Talent.”
PB: “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.”
Q.: If you could have dinner with any three people who would you choose?
TS: Jadeveon Clowney, Usain Bolt and Chris Bosh.
MR: Madeline Davis (friend), Adam Levine, Mr. Cragg (fifth grade teacher).
